The organization Mensajeros de la Paz will hold a funeral mass in memory of Father Joaquín, a priest who collaborated for years at the Church of San Antón, and of the person experiencing homelessness who recently passed away in Prosperidad Square. The ceremony will take place next Monday, March 17, at 7:00 PM, presided over by Cardinal Osoro and with the participation of the Alborada choir. Everyone is invited to join this act of farewell and remembrance. 

The death of this person living on the streets has shocked the city of Madrid. The incident occurred on Wednesday, March 12, when a 51-year-old man was found dead inside a clothing container located in Prosperidad Square, in the Chamartín district. 

This tragic event highlights the extreme vulnerability faced by many people without stable housing and the urgent need to strengthen support and protection measures. Mensajeros de la Paz reaffirms its commitment to the fight against social exclusion and calls on public authorities and citizens to unite efforts to prevent more deaths on the streets. 

The mass will be a moment of prayer, remembrance, and protest, a call not to forget those who have dedicated their lives to serving others, like Father Joaquín, nor those who have died in neglect and indifference, like the person experiencing homelessness also being honored.
