Madrid, 11 June 2025 – Messengers of the Peace presented our 2024 Annual Report in a ceremony held at the Madrid Association of Surveyors and Technical Architects, where representatives from the social, business, and media spheres came together. It was a moment to share the principal achievements and challenges we have faced during the last year. The journalist Fernando Jáuregui hosted the event, in which the following also participated: our CEO, Sergio Mella; Javier Urrecha, Head of Social Action at Deloitte; Chelo Felip, president of Messengers of the Peace in the Valencian Community; and our president and founder, Father Ángel. These are some of the data points we shared:
  • 445,104 people benefited in total
  • 357,383 indirect beneficiaries
  • 87,721 direct beneficiaries
  • More than 1,000 employees in Spain (between the Association Messengers of the Peace and Golden Age Messengers of the Peace)
  • More than 540 volunteers in Spain
  • Presence in 79 countries

It has been a year of effort and commitment to serving those who most need it.  These achievements are not only data figures, they’re stories, lives transformed, breakfasts shared, hugs given…” One of the most moving moments of the ceremony was the testimony of Javier Urrecha, who shared the experience of Deloitte as a collaborative company, underlining the impact of pro bono projects, financing of social initiatives, and corporate volunteering: “We have collaborated by supporting projects financially, but that’s not the only thing a company can do. Our social action is aligned with the fight against poverty and employment.
